I want to thank all those who came out to Completely Canine on Tuesday night, September 27th, to benefit the ASPCA hurricane relief fund. What great people--and pups! I never knew I'd want a bull dog or a labradoodle! I had a great time, and thanks to Graham Coords (one of the world's finest trainers!) and Camille for helping to make it all such a wonderful time and success for our furry friends.
Due to circumstances, Molly and I talked and decided to reschedule Bent Pages. I'm still coming! I love Molly and Kay and Bent Pages and everything about Houma and New Orleans. So much so that we're waiting for a few more flights to be restored and some real time to spend together. Molly has the books, tho, and the purchase price of any book at Bent Pages will go straight to the Red Cross.
Also, thanks so much to Kathleen and the folks at her beautiful B&B in St. Augustine, and to the First Coast Writers group, and all those who attended the tour. St. Augustine is the oldest continually inhabited European city in the US, a super town, and if you're ever there, Casa de Suenos is a place above and beyond, both elegant and completely comfortable, putting an entire new meaning to the word breakfast! Bryee and I took a carriage ride/ghost tour there, and boy that's great, being driven around and entertained!
I'm in Orlando now, hoping to see more people. Please come if you can--entire proceeds do go to the Red Cross and hopefully, again, you'll enjoy what I'm hoping is a great ghost story as well! I have to admit, it's always wonderful to be anywhere in my home state. We're diversified, entirely off the wall, and all around wonderful. Also, to California friends, hope to see you at Dark Delicacies. If you've never been, it's an amazing store. Del and Sue have an amazing assortment of books, many signed, and the most fantastic spooky/fun accessories for sale you could ever hope to find in a book store! Thanks so much for checking in!
